A comedy by Nikolai Gogol, which depicts the lies and nature of the authorities and residents of a small town.
One day, a man arrives in the town, and everyone accepts him as an inspector. Fearing him, the authorities begin to flatter him, hiding their flaws and mistakes. Meanwhile, the main character, who has no official authority, uses the situation for his personal gain. The performance is a sharp satire that harshly criticizes bureaucracy and the absence of logic in society.
